"Category under which you are applying" - IMM 008 generic

My common law partner and I are applying for CEC express entry. It has been recommended to us to apply for a provincial nomination to boost the number of points to strengthen our application and increase the chance of being invited to apply for CEC.

When filling out IMM 008 generic form, the second question asks - program under which you are applying. Should we list "provincial nominee" or "Canadian experience class"?

1. U nless you have a PNP nomination certificate, you aren't applying under PNP
2. My question is why are completing a imm 008 if you are applying under EE? Unless you have already recieved an ITA

CIC advises to improve score and increase chances of being selected from the express entry pool for CEC, that we can contact our province to be considered in a Provincial Nominee Program.

IMM 008 is a required form for the AINP program (Alberta).

IMM 008 is a required form for the AINP program (Alberta).

PNP from Alberta will not give you additional 600 points for express entry since Alberta did not get additional certificates for it.

You'll still be able to apply for PR if you get your nomination under regular method.

@PMM , Hi PMM, I am filling out form IMM 0008 for AINP. should I choose Provincial Nominee or FSW?
