hello all.
soon I will be completing my landing. I intend to take around CAD$25000 with me. the travellers are 2 adults, me and my wife, and a kid of 4 years of age.
in order to save money which is wasted in making DD, I just want to exchange the PKR into CAD$ and want to carry them in form of cash.
now I want to know the following.
1. as per Canadian law, if I m carrying more than CAD$10000 per person, I will have to declare it when entering Canada. as I will be carrying CAD$25000, will this restriction applies on me or not? is this restriction is for adults only? like for me and my wife we both can carry CAD$20000 and must not have to declare it......but what about extra 5000? will my 4 year son qualifies for this exemption? like if I show that me and my wife are carrying 10000 each and my son carrying 5000, so will it work? or we have to divide it on two persons each carrying 12500 and have to declare it?
2. I haven't found any authentic website or source on the internet that I cannot carry more than USD10000 per person from Pakistan. I have heard people saying different things.....like some say cant carry more than 5000 per person......some saying 10000.......some even saying u can carry more than that........just simply divide it and place it in different bags as u will be travelling with family so wont be a big issue. I want to know if anyone has any authentic source like any link on FIA Pakistan website or any other official source about the cash carrying limits.
