I am a PR holder of Canada, based in Toronto. My car is registered under Ontario and I am also holding Ontario Driving License. For a project work I will be going to Montreal and will be there for 6 months before I come back to Toronto. I am thinking to bring my Car also with me.
Is it okay to drive in Quebec for 6 months without transferring the car registration under Quebec? What are the options I have?

The Link says, I can drive for 6 consecutive months.
In this case is it okay that I cross the Quebec and Ontario border and after spending some hours in Ontario I take a U-Turn and enter Quebec again to reset the days count?
Another question is how will Quebec comes to know that I am in Quebec for 6 consecutive months? Or if some police officer ask me how will I prove him/her about my date of entry at Quebec?
The biggest indicator would be where you permanently reside in Canada. Working for 6 months and going back to ON, where you own a home, pay rent, do your banking, etc. would probably be sufficient proof. You could also get a letter from your employer explaining you are temporarily assigned to QC
