car Loan in US

Hi,

I have a car, there is 10, 000 dollars loan still to payoff. I am moving to Canada from US. Do I need to clear Loan, If I have to bring my car in Canada or can I clear loan while I am in Canada. Will border security allow me with my car in Canada with the load documents. Or is it better to clear the loan and have title with me when I am crossing border. Please suggest. I really appreciate your prompt answers.

You will need to pay off the load, get title and then export/import car. No work around for that.

You will find it much easier if you have clear title to the vehicle.

See if the bank will give you a signature loan which they will apply to clear your car loan. of course rates will go higher but you'll have a clear title.
