Car insurance after getting Quebec license

Hello,

So I got my quebec license a few weeks ago but before that I was driving with my home country license (Peru) and I had to use that to register and insure my car. My question would be if now that I have a QC license I might be able to get a better pricing, the SAAQ recognize about 200 months from my home country license.
