I have a question regarding the Canadian work experience letter. I completed my one year of Canadian work experience yesterday, March 7, 2025. I requested my current employer to provide me with an experience letter dated today so that it reflects my full one year with the company.
Back in February, I received a "currently working" letter from my company, but since that document is now outdated, I wanted to obtain a more recent one that clearly shows I have completed one full year of experience. However, my employer is delaying issuing the updated experience letter.
I am wondering how I can prove my one year of experience with the company. Can I use the work experience letter I received in February along with my recent pay stub to demonstrate my one year of employment? The latest pay stub I have only covers the period up to March 1, while I officially completed my one year on March 7.
How can I prove that I am still working with the company in this situation? I am really stressed because my work permit is expiring in a week, and I need to submit my PR application as soon as possible.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

You just completed the 1 year yesterday so
not sure you can call this a delay. Applying for PR right away or in a week will have minimal impact if your WP expires in a week.

Thank you for your response. I am trying to save my current job which require me to extend my work permit. And to extend my work permit I am hoping to submit my PR application as soon as to get the AOR. So I can apply for BOWP before my actual work permit expires which is in a week.

If your permit is expiring, the best thing to do is submit all relevant documents to the PR application now, along with a letter of explanation stating that you are waiting for an updated employment verification letter from your employer. Once you receive the updated document, you can use a web form to submit any remaining relevant documents. IRCC does not process the application immediately, so do not worry; you will have time to upload it later. In that way, you can save your job as well.
