Canadian to remarry in the Philippines

My canadian boyfriend was married to a filipina in the philippines but were already divorce.We are planning to get married here in the Philipoines.My concern is,will the canadian embassy/government honor our marriage since the ex wife was a filipina?My boyfriend is a canadian since birth.Will the canadian embassy or government honor our marriage once we are married and my husband apply for spousal visa?Please advise those with the same experience.Thank you

If the divorce has been registered in the Philippines, it will be fine.
