I am a Canadian PR and I need to travel to Bangladesh urgently. I am getting good prices on tickets transiting through the US. I have a valid US visa but my issue is I am not sure if it will be a problem to transit through the US as my passport will expire in less than 1 month. If anyone has any experience like this could you please share your thoughts or experience?
Thank you very much in advance, any help would be greatly appreciated.
When you say that you are transiting through the U.S. enroute to Bangladesh...are you simply changing planes in the same airport terminal, or truly transiting through the U.S. (meaning not entering into and remaining in the Transit Zone)? https://airlinesoffice.com/transit_guides/transit_areas.htm
Although the six-month passport validity rule applies to several South American and Asian countries, most countries will require a three-month validity procedure. A passport must only be valid three months past the intended arrival date in certain countries. Some of the most commonly visited countries worldwide utilize the three-month passport validity requirements. These countries fall inside the Schengen Agreement, facilitating more accessible travel between neighboring countries.
Countries commonly use the three-month passport validity rule, includingSpain, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, and Belgium. In the Schengen Agreement area, there is a tola of 26 different countries that require a three-month validity rule. The United States, Canada, and Mexico also enforce a three-month validity requirement for entrance.
