Hi,

I applied under Federal Skilled Worker Category On November 2009. TodayI received an email from CIC saying that I dont qualify under the title specified in NOC list and they are not capable of processing further.

I'm planning to reapply. When can I do that? Any help in this regard is appreciated.

Regards,
Vijay

Are you applying under a new NoC, have you ensured that you are eligible under the same?

If under the same NoC, how have your circumstances changed in the last two months to make you eligible?

These are some of the questions you may need to answer to yourself before re-applying.

Do you mind sharing your designation/job duties for the benefit of rest of us here?

Thanks in anticipation.

If you meet the requirements of 67 points and qualify under list of 38 occuptaions you can reapply again today itself.

Dear Friends,

I too have got rejected my Canada PR as I am SAP Consultant with 8 years of experience and I am also certified in SAP CRM Functional and Oracle DBA. I received the mail from FSW-Centralized-Intake saying " NOC code: 0213, occupation - SAP CRM Consultant, SAP SD Consultant, Marketing Executive. Although this NOC code corresponds to the occupations specified in the instructions identified by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008, the main duties that you have listed do not indicate that you performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC. As such, I am not satisfied that your experience corresponds to NOC 0213- Computer and Information Systems Managers"

Let me know what need to be done.

Do I need to wait for 6 to 9 month then again apply?
Do I need to get PMP done as I am SAP Consultant and I have not worked as Manager accept Module lead.

Appreciate your valuable advice.

Kindest Regards,
Praveen

You can apply as soon as you qualify. You can even apply without qualifying but will get rejected.
To qualify, you need management experience for 0213. Getting PMP is not going to give you the experience, only management responsibilities at work can. If getting a PMP will give you those jobs/tasks that are managerial in nature, then its ok. It seems like a long route. Why don't you ask your boss to give you some managerial responsibilities as defined by CIC. I am no expert at 0213, so take my suggestions with a bit of salt.

I don't think managerial and project management is the same. A person can be an entry level project manager. CIC wants managerial experience.

experience title is doesnt matter to qualify but your role duties should be match with requiered dueties mentioned in 38NOC.
you can re-apply anytime when you feel you are qualify to re-apply under any NOC related to your work experience.

To add to what Rupeshhari said, you can apply once you can show that your 'managerial' experience is for one year, continuous.

I believe the thread was hijacked, did the OP have his question answered?
