Hi Everyone,

What is the processing time for a new passport if applied using standard process?
I have to visit India in late February and wondering if applying the non-urgent way will leave enough time for getting the Indian Visa, more importantly if I will get my passport by then.
CIC website shows the processing time to be 20 days but I highly doubt that.

Another question, India recently restarted e-visas for Canadian citizens so what's the processing time for that?

If you need your passport faster, you may be able to get one of these services: urgent pick-up (by end of next business day) express pick-up (2 to 9 business days) emergency weekend or statutory holiday service.

Once you have everything required you can apply for the Indian e-Visa. You should apply at least 4-7 days before your flight or entry into the country as it takes 3-4 days for the Visa request to be approved.
