I live in Canada and my boyfriend lives in the Kurdistan region of Northern Iraq. We love each other very much and would like to get married whereas it is our goal he moves to Canada and resides with me. What countries and places can we marry? What is the best approach to take in getting married and where?
In addition, once we are married does this automatically allow him to live in Canada with me? What information is needed to obtain foreigners living with their spouses in Canada? Any feedback and information would much be appreciated.

First the chances of him getting a visa to Canada are virtually nil.
You could go there to marry him, Canada does recognise, marrages from Iraq, but I am sorry to say you will have a long wait for him to get PR card here.
If he could by chance get a visa to get here and you were married here he could stay here through the whole process.
Others here could give you more advise.

My advise is that you take a look to all the posts here...
go through all the difficulties that people go through....
make it your homework and get familiar with all the hardships of people applying for Permanent resident status
you will learn about the mistakes of others,
and also about how to do things right....
there is a lot of helpful information in the posts here,
people discuss things sincerely and honestly...
great school....
I wish I would know this forum before I married my wife,
so I could do it in the way that immigration want things done
but any how, I did present a solid application and I am hopping for the best.....
but, I have learned a lot in this forum
you can also learn a lot,
and do things in the best way to have the better chances to have your
spouse approved from a country that is not easy .... and you also should be
ready to move to Iraq If he gets refused.
so, best of luck
