I have got offers, one from Centennial (Software Engineering Technology Fast track) and other from Georgian (Computer Programmer) at present, waiting for Humber (Information Technology Solutions) to respond for the September 2017 intake.
Would appreciate if I can get input from the alumni students/current students or senior members in this forum on the following;
1) Which college is best to get placed after study?
2) How is the college in terms of education, like teaching?
3) What are the chances of getting a Co-op?
PS: I am from India and want to do a two year diploma course in IT (Technical)
1. I think you will get hired by your education knowledge or experience not on which college you did study but if you do master instead of bachelor that will make big difference.
2. From my point of view, all colleges are doing well in teaching to stay in completion, its up to you how you will be doing to achieve good score.
3. As you're an IT student, you have a good chance to get co-op placement but can't promise.
I have completed my IT course from Mohawk college. I got hired by one company for co-op placement. Once I am done with my study I got my full time in same company where I did my co-op.
if you need more information, please let me know. I will be happy to assist you.
My child is planning for his further study to canada.
He is studying in diploma, in computer engineering, in sixth semester; He has score overall 7.5 out of 10.
He has given IELTS and score@6_band.
He wants to become software engineer(IT),by professional.
My question is,
1. He want to do advance diploma in canada.
2. As there is always new in technology; So what type of faculty he should study in advance diploma or diploma.
3. Good college or university(if possible in this scored band) recommondation
4. Please explain me what is difference between diploma and advance diploma(some college has advance diploma course and same course other college has in diploma ,this is possible)
Any good views, what should be done.
Your's opinions would definitely be of great help to my child, so I hope you guys could help out.
