My last academic degree is master's in math, and I would like to do a 2 year college diploma in computer programming in Canada. I know my chances for getting a visa for a college diploma is zero, but can I apply for a visa for ,say, a PG program, then change it to a college diploma after receiving my study permit? If possible, how will it effect my future status?
Thanx

If you want to switch schools and programs, you'll need to obtain a new study permit.

Would the new study permit be rejected based on my program being lower in level?

Since you already have a Master's, yes a study permit for a diploma is very likely to be rejected.
