Canadian citizen on days off in USA

Ok so I'm Canadian and have a girl in kalispell Montana.
I do 8 on and 6 off shift work, im wanting to move in with my girl on my days off.
Would this be a problem coming and going so often even if im only working in Canada?
I don't have an American passport I'll just be traveling as a visitor:

You should post your question on a US immigration forum.

However yes - you should expect that sooner or later the US will have a problem with what you're doing since you'll be behaving as someone who lives in Canada rather than a visitor.

You mean behaving as a Canadian who lives in the US rather than a visitor? The US will have a problem with that.
