Canadian Citizen, living in Italy. Can I have some benefits?

I'm sorry for my bad english. I'm Mary, a canadian citizen (I was born in Canada), now I'm living in Italy.
I lived in Canada (Ontario) for 2 years, from 1976 to 78 and my parents have my child benefits only for that 2 years. I'd like to know if my parents can ask for my "child benefits" from the year 1978 until I was eighteen.

So your parents left Canada in 1978 with you and never lived again or paid any taxes in Canada since ? So you expect even if were possible for some benefits after all this time even though not resident ?

No - they can't. Once they left Canada and stopped being residents, they no longer qualified for this benefit.

Even if you did qualify, you can only get retroactive payments for up to 11 months. So you would be several decades too late.
