Hi Everyone,

My wife will be landing at the Pearson airport in 5 days and I want to make sure she is prepared with all the list of paperwork. The following are the items that she will be bringing:

1) Her Passport with stamped visa (ofcourse!)
2) Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CPR) form for the visa officer (which came in the mail from Immigration Canada)

Does she require any additional documents?
Does she need to fill the BSF186 form in advance? Did you guys make a list of all the items you are bringing in and present it on this form?
How long does it take for the entire process to be completed?
Does the process take place prior to picking up checked luggage or after?
Do they ask any additional questions?
What documents should she collect from them?

Let me know if you guys have any tips or information :) I am hoping for her safe arrival.

My husband also landed in Toronto. He took a paper with the items he was bringing, however he had nothing to follow. They didn't even look at his list. He landed about 7pm, there was no line at immigration, which is before you get luggage, and it only took him about 5 minutes to get through. The officers were extremely friendly and welcoming. They never asked him any questions, only confirmed him address for the pr card.

Good luck!

he is only bringing clothes and shoes, half of his stuff is already here, does he need to bring a list?

This was pretty much my wife's experience. Official landing about 5-10 minutes. The only difference what that the lines were long when she landed so she spent most of the time waiting in line. The officer asked a few easy questions like if she felt healthy, if there was any change in her family status/relations since applying (marriage/divorce/kids) and if she was convicted of any crime since applying. Then he asked for her mailing address in Canada.

No, not really. CBSA does not care about the stuff already in Canada and if he is just landing with only the clothes he is wearing (and not bringing in anything later), then there is nothing to list. But if he is planning on bringing the other half of this stuff at a later time, he may want to fill out a B4 good to follow form

Following since my husband will eventually have to land when we get out PPR and COPR
