Hi!

What views are you talking about? There's cic.gc.ca official website with all the rules and criteria described.

Yes, you can apply for PR and immigrate without your family members. Howerver, you must include them in your applications as dependents and then either mark "Accompanying" or "Not accompanying" in the application forms. This is a must and it affects the minimum amount of settlement funds you will have to demonstrate in the very beginning, as well as at a later stage whenever required. If you fail to include your dependents to your PR application this will result either in rejection (due to misrepresentation of facts) or in impossibility of further sponsorship of your family members in the future.

Thanks but the situation is not good here. We are separated from 6 months and the child stays with her. I want to apply for PR without her knowledge. She is not ready to co-operate and not even giving me a divorce.

If she's legally your spouse, then include her as spouse, mark "Not accompanying" and describe the situation in detail in the cover letter. Shit happens, what can I say, but there's always some solution. You can also explain that you fully understand that your family members can be excluded from the file due to lack of certain documents from their side and that would lead to impossibility of further sponsorship ins the future (e.g. if they refuse to pass medical examinations whatsoever)

As per ur suggestion if i mark as not accompanying of my family members for PR application and i only wanted to apply first in this case is it compulsory to add the passport details in the application for my spouse and child as they don't have passports?

depends on if you put theirs names when you applied. if their names are not there, you dont need to get their acks.
