One of my fried has a PR for Canada as well as H1B for US. He is currently working in US. Can he stay in Canada (near the US Canada border) and work in US (Daily commute) ?
Is this possible legally? what is the impact? Will his stay in Canada be counted ?
on a separate note, it always amazes me why the person with all the facts doesnt post these questions themselves, instead 'friends' have to do it for them
i dont think I have any friends who would ask me to post a question online about their life or work, on their behalf ;D

I don't know about your friend. But you would find it difficult to do that. One is that if you travel back and forth across the border everyday with an Indian passport then you'll run out of pages in your passport every couple of months!
But yes, technically you are meeting your residency obligations as long as you're present at least for a part of the day in Canada. As far as I know, only whole days spent outside Canada are considered as your absence. So if you are travelling and land in Canada at 11 PM, you'd be considered to be present in Canada on that day so the day you land wouldn't count towards number of days you spend outside Canada.
