Hi, the situation is that my girlfriend, her TRV ends in october and we expect a response for the work permit in january.

Can we apply for TRV extension while we wait on the work permit response in case it's denied so she can extend her stay to the TRV date?

Note that the length of her allowed stay in Canada is not tied to the expiry date of her TRV.
