Can you apply AINP with an open work permit?

Asking on behalf of a friend -

He's a full time ESL student with a study permit. His wife has an open work permit linked to his study permit, and her job (day care teacher) is eligible for AINP (AB provincial nominee). Can she apply AINP with an open work permit (which did not require an LMO)? Or does she need a regular work permit from her employer to apply AINP?

I told them she could apply with an open work permit, but now I'm not so sure.

Yes, one can apply for AINP on Open Work Permit.
But under which AINP scheme, she is planning to apply for ?
