Hi,

I am planning to travel to India on Canada Passport and e-Visa. I am planning to surrender my Indian Passport at RPO in India.

Will I be able to apply for Entry Visa in India while I am in India on e-visa?

Current experience shared is of ppl who went to India on evisa but had OCI in process in Canada. FRRO did not allow them to convert e-visa to entry visa. Told them to exit India and re-enter using OCI.

If you check @nivaan5 post he entered India using Indian passport and then applied for SC and entry visa. That's one way which works.

But as you entering with e-visa only without OCI check whether FRRO will allow you to apply for entry visa, else you might have to exit India and apply for OCI/entry visa and re-enter India once you have it in hand.
