Can we apply for Canadian Citizenship from India?

While in India, if we take the Oath and apply for Canadian Passport will it be mailed to the Indian Address or a Local Address where I was living in Canada? Additionally, if the passport cannot be mailed to us in India, will we be able to travel to Canada on Indian Passport after applying for Canadian passport online?

Are you planning on taking the oath while out of Canada? That might require special permission. I believe the passport can be applied in India though. Here is the link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ssports-abroad/new-adult-passport-abroad.html

However, I have been unable to verify if someone has actually done that. I am in the same boat too.

Having the citizenship ceremony from outside Canada is a rare occurrence. 99% of the time, whoever shows up from elsewhere will be asked to leave the ceremony. You need a compelling reason and the green light of IRCC in advance...
That being said, once Canadian, you can apply from a passport from anywhere on the planet.

It's tough nut to crack even if you in India. I doubt it will even get accepted if you in Canada.
