In general if one claims X points and for some reason the CIC officer thinks that
the applicant cannot prove 50 points for something and if X-50 is still above the cutoff
score for that particular ITA can this be a reason for rejection of application?
I have claimed 50 points for future job offer. Since this is new thing (announced in Nov 2016),
there is some confusion about "job offer 1 year beyond the grant of PR". But even without these
50 points my score is above the cutoff.

This is very important - CIC clearly states "one year after getting PR". In my view ITA cannot be considered as granting of PR. There
is considerable confusion about this issue. It seems that PPR can be taken as the point at which PR is granted. So the job gurantee
should start from PPR if not later.
