can someone plz help me dose the processing time start from when they received the file or from when they start working on it they sent us a email in nov of 2014 saying they received our file but according to the cic sight they started working on it feb 16 2015 so when dose the time they say on the sight start from as well they cic sight said 8 months to do it when we received the notice and now it sais 12 months do we go by the 8 months or the 12 this is for the Poland even though we started at the Moscow embassy they sent it to Warsaw. this is for a family sponsorship for my wife

The time will start when they received the application. The times they quote have to do with the estimated time in which 80% of applications were completed at the time you submitted it. I would say you're probably looking at closer to the 8 months but it all really depends on the application and the country it's being processed in. You may want to see if there's a thread specifically with Poland timelines. Many people track their progress through different stages and you may find a similar timeline that would be helpful.
