Can someone clarify

Hi all,

I received letter from cic about fingerprints for RCMP check and new medical. The letter is named to me i.e applicant. It says in order to continue your application we need following in 60 days.

One of them is this I mentioned underneath.


Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) criminal record check(s) based on fingerprints for your spouse. Refer to our web site for specific instructions: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/canada.asp


Can someone clarify if they need my fingerprints or my wife's(sponsor).

It's you. Your wife is either a Canadian PR or citizen so there is no need to have hers.

yes I think so too, but it says to your spouse. Letter is named to me. That doesn't make any sense to me.
