Hi everyone! I came here on work permit in 2015 since I wanted to get away from my 'home' n live a better life but my employer didnt have any work for me. I was living on the money I brought n my aunty from UK has helped me. Then in 2016 I got pregnant n my baby was born in the same year. After my delivery I have applied for a new work permit and also for a visa extension. I cant return to my country since I have a child without marriage. My brother (he is the reason I left my country) has already threatened me that he wnt spare me or my child. My mom has witnessed al that. In that case can the govt of Canada protect me n my child coz our lives are at rist specially of my innocent baby who means everything to me.

This isn't grounds for asylum and you should expect an asylum application to be refused if you apply.

Are you still with the father of your child? Is he Canadian? If so, he can sponsor you for PR.

Your only chance assuming you are no longer with the child's father, is to submit a H&C application. For this you should consult with a qualified immigration lawyer for your best chance.

If the H&C app is refused, then you may be deported from Canada and forced to return to home country.

No I am no longer with the father. His father passed away 1 month (last September) before the baby was born. Since then we have parted ways. He wasnt here when the baby was born.
