Im Primary Applicant my wife is dependent. We got PPR and got stamped passports as well.
But got to know that my wife is Pregnant(1st month) and she is not willing to travel during pregnancy. My copr expiry date is in July 2025. So what are my options?
1. Can i as a PA land alone and get my PR card or my PR card will be issued only both me and wife lands?(Since it's a single application)
2. Can pregnant women travel if they cross 3 months to not have any effects on the baby? Just asking so that if i know the anwer i can request my wife
3. In worst case scenario if I land and got my PR and if my dependent wife doesn't land before COPR expiry what shd i do?
4. Laat option: is it suggested to wait till baby is born(8 months from now) and wait for the baby to get included?
Urgent help needed, Right now in trauma because of this pregnancy news and my wife adamant behaviour about air journey

1. You can land alone.
2. This is a question for your wife's doctor. It depends on how her pregnancy is going. Normally there is no issue traveling.
3. You would need to sponsor her for PR. This will be a brand new application and processing would likely take around a year. You will need to be living in Canada when you submit that application and while the application is being processed.
4. I don't understand this question. When does your COPR expire?
I agree that this is a question for a doctor, but travelling during early stages of pregnancy generally not a problem at all. Your spouse could travel to soft-land and return if she wishes.
As noted, one PR would have to be residing in Canada to sponsor the spouse and/or child. If she at least soft-landed, sponsoring dependent child is about $1000 cheaper. Traded off against the complication and flight costs, of course.

4. Your child would need to be born before your COPR expiry date to add them to the application and then potentially have to resubmit things like your medicals. July 2025 expiry date gives you and likely your wife lots of time to land or move to Canada. Most women can fly until their 36th week of pregnancy although would personally not want to travel past the mid 3rd trimester especially on a long international flight. Babies arrive when they want to arrive not at exactly 40 weeks. To qualify for healthcare in Canada you will have to be scheduled to make that province your permanent home and typically be in the province for 6+ months that year. Each province have their own residency requirements to qualify for healthcare and some have wait periods before you qualify to access provincial healthcare.
