I got CoPR in November and planned to travel on 29 March after wrapping up all here in India. However, due to COVID-19, it is very unlikely that I will be able to travel before the CoPR and Visa expiration date. Can anyone enlighten me, what should I do to get an extension?

As long as you submitted your proof of cancelled flight and your request for an extension you should get an extension. Very difficult to give out extensions if CIC doesn’t know when borders may open again.
