Can MP help with visitor visa refusal?

I am a PR living in Canada and wanted to invite my aunt (from India) for a visit. I was very confident of approval because she has close family ties (she is married and has 2 children all of whom live in India). I was planning to sponsor her visit. However to my surprise, the visitor visa application got rejected.

Now I intend to find out the reasons and was wondering if contacting my MP can in anyway help.

you can apply for GCMS notes for your aunt's file....I highly doubt your MP can do anything more but to tell you to apply for GCMS.

Actually, they are usually very happy to give you a letter of support to include with your application package. The VO's see them all the time and mostly ignore them but it does not hurt to try

Can your aunt overcome the reasons for the refusal? If not, a letter from the MP is probably won't help. Order GCMS notes and plan from there.
