This is my first post on this forum. I applied for sponsorship for Father & mother inlaw (in Paksitan) in April 2009. After getting the case moved to UK last year, they finally got the medical in February. My mother-in-law got medical furtherance and she had to go thru sputum test. Her next appointment is in end june.
We applied for their visit visa early this year and they got 5 years multiple visa. We want them here in Canada on visit this May or early June.
Now, I have a question:
1. In Canada, there are approved medical centres. Can she have her medical furtherance in Canada instead of Pakistan? In Pakistan, the medicals are sent to India, but in Canada, they will not be processed in India. I'm just curious if doing medical furtherance here might not delay the immigration process.

1st of all congratulations for their visitor visa. I don't have any of that experience however I don't think so that it would delay the process just because she will have the medical in Canada.
can I ask you something about their visitor visa? did you apply for super visa for them? if so, what ties did they show? any info would be valuable for me as I am planning the same.
No, we didn't apply for super visa. We knew their immigration process is near. We just applied for the visit visa. Now, you don't have to specify for single entry or multiple entry. It is on the discretion of visa officer. The got 5 years multiple visa because they have been year few times. Last time they got 2 years multiple visa.
I called cic and they said that medical furtherance can be done here.

thanks, my mother in law have been in here in 2010 once (that time I applied single entry) but since we are expecting a baby I want her to be here but double minded that what if they got call for passport or even denied for visitor visa? they just got medical done and London office emailed today for PCC and additional forms.
Now if my parents in law are here, and if I get a PPR. Can I send their passports from here? What will happen for their landing if they are already here?
