Can international Students enter Canada by crossing US land border without hotel $2,000 quarantine?

why they thought quarantine at home is not good? it worked. I stayed at home in quarantine plus people provide negative covid test what else you need

Because not everyone quarantined alone and respected the rules. A whole nursing home and all their employees got ill and many died because a family member of someone quarantining went to work in a nursing home and infected almost everyone. This is one example but many are not quarantining properly.

Is this 72 hours staying requirement from Canadian government?
I was thinking to fly to Seattle and then get Quick Shuttle BUS from Seattle airport to Vancouver.
I do not have my own car. Do I need a car?
If I cannot use bus to cross the US land border, I may rent a car if I can return it in Vancouver.

You can't take public transportation. That would defeat quarantine.

do test in Japan, then land in Seattle and get a taxi or uber up to the border then cross to Canada. show them your covid test which should be no more than 72 hours valid,

The shortest flight from Japan to Seattle is 9 hours. If you count getting the test 1-2 days, getting to the airport (3 hours), 9 hour flight, 2 hours to go through customs and get bags you don't have time to get to the Canadian border easily within the 72 hour window.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

Canadian government changed their rules for pre-arrival PCR test on March 2nd.

your test must be performed in the United States <- Maybe added on March 2nd.

It seems very hard to find a lab for PCR test in US.

Fortunately I have not purchased flight ticket to US.
I will fly to Canada directly.
