Hello,
Cuz I am to arrive Vancouver with a job offer on Aug 22nd, I plan to settle my living house before landing via internet & phone.
I wonder if it is possible, or I must land then find a place to live in person?
In this case, can I use the address of my proposed employee (e.g. UBC) for the PR card?
Thanks,

Is it Vancouver? Yes, it is possible to book your living house before landing via internet & phone. This was what I did. I guess can use any address in Canada for purposes of receiving PR Card.
Many thanks, Steaky!
Yes I prefer to use the proposed working adress, cuz I feel worry about cheating behavior in renting for living. In that case I may need to find another place to live.
The working address is probably more reliable than the tempary living address.
Any comments on my arbitary thoughts?
Unless you owns your home, I think cheating behaviour in renting exist everywhere (not only in Canada). However, home prices in Vancouver may be more expensive than most part of the Country.
Hi Steaky,
Can you give contacts or e links about renting befoe entering Canada?
Also how was your experience?
Thanks
You can read one of my older posts, such as the following:

Thanks Steaky.
I guess kijiji is very popular in Canada.
One question:
Do landlords typically ask for credit history before taking a decision and does US creadit history count for anything in Canada?
I guess rental companies typically ask for credit history. I heard from other posters that US credit history can be use.
