Hello!
I've had this question and I'm not sure of the answer. If anyone can help me, that would be great! Thanks!
Can I travel with my valid student visa while working on Post Graduate Work Permit?
It's not clear what you are asking. You can certainly leave Canada. If you want to travel back to Canada and fly here directly, you'll need either a TRV or eTA.
Ok, let me explain.
I was a student from January until August 2018. I got my study permit and my visa (but the visas says " Student") at the end of 2017. My visa is valid until March 2019.
However, I completed my studies in September, and after that I applied for my post graduate work permit and I have been working for three months ever since. I just got my work permit on the mail two weeks ago. I want to travel outside of Canada and come back for the holidays but my visa says "Student" (it's still valid though).
So my question is whether if there's a problem when I come back from my travel due to the fact that I'm a work permit holder traveling on a visa that says "Student"?
Thanks!
All you need is a valid TRV.

Yes, you can travel. A TRV is a TRV.
Alright, thank you very much for your reply!
