Hi guys, I too have B1/ B2 US visa valid till the expiry of my passport. And now I am PR of Canada. My question is - do I have to visit local US embassy in Canada or I can directly go to US port of entry? My purpose of visit would be business.
Your B1/B2 visa is linked to your passport and nothing really to do with your PR status in Canada so you do not need to visit any US consulate in advance
Only difference will be when assessed by US CBP at the POE as well as purpose of visit and so on you will be indicating that you are returning to Canada as a PR given that is where you reside versus returning to the your home country as indicated by your passport.
So nothing really different in that whether a PR of Canada or not US CBP still need to be convinced you are entering for a genuine purpose as authorised by your visa and will leave when you say you will
