I'm planning a trip to India in 15 days and have applied for a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from Canada. The PCC process takes about 6-8 weeks, and I intend to stay in India for 5 weeks and return to Canada before my PCC is issued. However, I've received conflicting advice regarding my travel plans. Can anyone clarify if I can travel during this period?

Background:

  • PCC processing time: 6-8 weeks.
  • Current location: Canada.
  • Travel duration: 5 weeks in India.
If I receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence while I am in India, can I return to Canada and submit my documents, including the PCC that I applied for before my travel?
