I came to canada in Alberta province and to canmore to work. I left the the job there because of some issues and now in edmonton.
But I have 7 months more visa to stay in Canada. Its w-1 visa category. And my uncle is living in toronto, i thought i should visit him. But one of my friends said that i cannot travel to toronto with this visa category. Currently am unemployed. After this 7 months am going back to my country. Is it really impossible to travel to toronto from edmonton with this visa category? Cant I travel to another province with this visa? Please help me because I have already booked the ticket.

For domestic air travel nobody cares about your status in the country as long as you show a valid ID at checkin, a passport for example. Obviously you cannot work when you get to Toronto without a new work permit but that’s it.

My friend told me I cannot travel to toronto from edmonton since am on closed work permit. Thank you once. I was supposed to travel today but didnt go because of this. I have to rebook again. Thank you.
