I'm in Canada on an open work permit (I'm accompanying my husband who's now studying here). I need to take a first-year English class in a college to fulfill the english requirement for admission to university. On one hand, the CIC website says that I can take a course or program which lasts for less than six months. On the other hand, the following is mentioned in my work permit: "unless authorized, prohibited from attending any educational institution, or taking any academic, professional, or vocational training course". It seems that these two contradict each other and I'm confused here. It's appreciated if you could share your experience and knowledge so that I can come to a conclusion.
You are not supposed to study any where.
"unless authorized, prohibited from attending any educational institution, or taking any academic, professional, or vocational training course".
It means you need to convert, your status to Study permit.
