Can I surrender my indian passport and apply for OCI on the same day?

hi all,

I will be soon getting Canadian citizenship in the coming months. I want to know if I can surrender my Indian passport and apply for OCI on the same day?

Yes, you may surrender both at the same time. I did mine at Brampton. They will process the passport stuff first and update information for OCI by themselves.

Yes, i applied for OCI and Passport surrender this week. And they accept both applications on same day.
I find the documentation process is better now. BLS did not ask for self attestation this time. They just took the filled application form and copies of supporting documents mentioned in the checklist
