I am applying for PR through the PNP stream. I have received my PNP nomination from Ontario under the Masters category.
My Work Permit (WP) was about the expire, so I have applied for WP extension with the support letter from PNP on May 7 2015, and I still did not receive my extension and my WP expired as of June 9.
My Question - Can i submit my PR application to CIC before I get the WP extended. I cannot wait because of the expiry date of the PNP certificate. Please advise.
I don't think the two applications are related in any way.
I did that myself. Applied for work permit in early December last year, followed by pr application a week later. I got my work permit in early January while my PR application is in process right now. I a guessing since it worked for me it should be ok.
Thanks for your reply saaz87. In the IIM008 form, there is a section (10) that asks for your current status in Canada and the from and to date. The system wont let me give a past date in the TO Date section?
