Hello,

I graduated from Niagara College in 2015 June and got my PGWP in November. I have been working for a few months and just decided to go to university in fall.

I am now holding a work permit but my study permit of course has already expired. Could someone please tell me if I could still go to school without a study permit?

Thank you so much!
Angela

Hi

If you want to study at university, you will need to get a new study permit. Also, PGWP is a one-time permit; you will not be able to get another one after you complete your new studies.

Thank you for the reply and the information:)

I have another question: My study permit expired on Dec 31th 2015, if I apply again would it be to extend the permit or I need to apply for a new one?

Thank you Canuck:)

You need a new one. An expired permit cannot be extended.

And there is one more thing (sorry:p), is it possible that I apply for both study permit and Temporary Residence Visa at the same time on CIC? Because my Entry Visa expired at the same time with my study permit and I need it for multiple entry.
So the description of the application of TRV for me will be "I am a worker in Canada who want to study in the future"...

You can apply for part-time work permit.
Your college or universitu will help you with that.
