Can I start an online business (shopping mall) with a student visa in Ontario?
I have a student visa and can work both on/off campus.
If I start the business I won't be paid because I will be the founder and the co-founder will have a permanent residence status.
Do I need some other permit or is it impossible to start a business as an international student?
You're not a starting a shopping mall, you're building an eCom store. I wouldn't stress since generating sales is not easy. But to answer your question, I know people who did it and nothing happened to them as far as I know. Not sure about the legality though.
