Hi,
I am applying for a study permit in Canada from September 2024 to May 2025 and have presented my biometrics at a VFS centre. I used my current passport to apply for the permit. This passport expires in February 2025 and I am currently waiting to renew my passport on the 25th of June. The application is now in process, is it possible to use the new passport during the processing time once I have received it? I have been told by the VFS that I can send my old and new passports together for stamping. However, if I send along my old and new passports, the older one would be invalid. Would the IRCC have problems since my old passport number would be on the visa?
