I have a changed my PGWP (expires July 2017) to a Closed work Permit( Expires June 2018)
So I applied to renew my old work Visa (expires July 2017) so it matches my new permit. This application was submitted on September 9 online from within Canada and still no update
Can I leave Canada now and re-enter in February with my old visa (expires July 2017)?
Why is this application taking so long. Been 3 months already
What exactly do you mean you applied to extend your old permit that expires July 2017 ? You mean you attempted to extend the PGWP ? Why would you try doing that when you now have a closed work permit ?
I mean I had a PGWP but I was nominated by my province and they sent me a letter to apply for a closed work permit with my new employer as well apply for permanent residence in PNP category so I did.
So I now have a new work permit that expires 2018 but the work visa on my passport still expires July 2017. I have applied to renew this visa so the expiry matches to my new closed work permit. I haven't received any update from Cic on the visa application but I need to go home on an emergency and return February 2017. Will I be allowed to re-enter Canada with the visa that expires July 2017 since I haven't heard from Cic yet?
