I've read many posts about remote working in Canada but my case is rather unique.
I'm a UK citizen working for an American company but in the UK office under UK contract. I would love to move to Canada on a work permit as I work remotely for my job. Is this even possible?
I have no business purpose there as we have no offices there. We do have employees in Canada but they are Canadian citizens (they work remotely).
Where it gets a bit complicated is we have some Canadian clients so this would impact their market. Does this definitely mean I cannot apply for a work permit under this role?

How old are you? You could apply for an IEC but it is closed for this year. Your remote work would not gain you Canadian work experience. You say move to Canada so you want to immigrate?

For some people, you can enter on a visitor visa and work remotely. But because your company has Canadian employees that would not work. If your company has Canadian employees then do you have a Canadian office or are they paid through the US company. If your company has a Canadian office, you can work for them on an IEC.
