They always do lol. As a note, I would watch what you are doing regarding volunteering. Even unpaid work can get you into trouble from what I have heard.
As long as that volunteering position wouldn't be a paid position if no one volunteer for it. (e.g. my hubby volunteered to be a hobby club executive. no one in those clubs got paid. They just do it so that people who like the same hobby will come out and enjoy it. Some one needs to do coordinating and connecting members.)

I'm going by info given to my friends bf when he was coming over from the US. He was told this by the border agent. Just something I specifically remembered, but this was back in 2006ish I want to say, maybe 2005?
