I plan to land on July 9th, but will have to leave Canada a month later. I assume my PR card will not be issued that quickly. My question is this, can I leave the country without obtaining the PR card and then return to pick it up???
I have a Spanish passport, so I don't need a visa to enter Canada. I am just travelling to Canada for a month and then returning to my present country of residence, as I still have one more year to go on my work contract.
I'm so scared that if I leave Canada without the PR card' I will then have problems returning. Some people say that I would be taking a huge risk by doing that. Others say that I would have to collect the card in person? My parents live in Canada, so if the PR card is mailed to them, they could then mail it to me.
Should I tell the Immigration officer upon landing about this?
