Applying inland and I am just wondering if I can leave during the application process and come back? My visa is up in February and I want to visit family for a month and then return to Canada and wait out the process. Possible or no?
I think with inland it is not advised to leave Canada.
Have you considered applying outland? It is generally thought of as quicker, plus you have the right of appeal if the application gets turned down. You can apply outland while remaining in Canada. This is what I did.
Thank you for the Reply Sarah, I often hear that outland is quicker.
I was told that if I apply in my home country I would not be allowed to leave (my home country) until the application has been approved (common-law). I find that hard to believe considering I wouldn't be in my home country when I submit the application. I plan on submitting my application and returning to my home country to visit family and then returning to Canada to wait out the application process. I will take as many flights as needed during this process..I'm not concerned with that.
Does having dual Citizenship affect the decision making? Does it matter to which country I send the application (of my current citizenships) or does it need to be the one I have spent most time in?
