Hi Team,

Me and my wife having (work permit) visa. I am staying here in toronto last 5 months.

Can i invite my mother in law for 2-3 months visitor visa (Temporary visa) at end of this year?

Is she need really letter of invitation for 2-3 months?

Or she can direly apply from india?

Recommend keeping it to about 2-3 weeks maximum. Any longer than that will raise alarms that she intends to stay.

Hi russ6970,

Thanks for update but we like she can stay 2 months max. even though i provide return tickets as well for her.
And can she apply from india or i have to provide invitation letter?

You would have to provide an invitation letter. Since you and your wife are there together, you mother-in-law will have to prove very very strong ties to India, like job, property etc, to prove she will not overstay. I still think the 2 months has a very high chance of reject, but then that is your choice. She can apply online.

Buying non-refundable tickets is also not advised. Try to get insurance on them if you are going to buy them.
