Hello everyone,
Today I received my open work permit which i submitted along with my spousal sponsorship application, which was received on February 22, 2017.
Am I able to apply and get OHIP using the open work permit? It says Case Type 27 on it, and I cannot find conclusive information online.
Has anyone been successful on getting OHIP after receiving their Open Work permit, but not the AIP yet?
Thanks

Some people have gotten OHIP with this OWP, but with a full time letter of employment: http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/public/publications/ohip/ohip_eligibility.aspx
you are a foreign worker who holds a valid work permit or other document issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) permitting you to work in Canada, and you also have a formal agreement in place to work full-time for an employer situated in Ontario which sets out the employer's name, your occupation, and confirmation that you will be working for no less than six consecutive months;
