Can I get loan only for GIC

Hi,

I have paid my tuition fees through cash as I had to meet the deadline for Sheridan College fall 2013. Now, as I have a month's time in my hand so I am thinking of taking a loan only on the GIC amount.

Can anyone please tell me if I can get loan only on GIC amount through any Indian Nationalized bank.

As far as i know

GIC is a certificate issued by the candadian bank.So,for that you will have to deposit the amount.

Or else,

You can apply for a bank loan and produce the letter instead of the GIC certificate.

you will not get education loan if you want to pay for GIC solely. But you can take personal loan etc

I have paid my first sem fees $6300 CAD for Global Business Management Course in Humber College for September'13 intake.. Do i require to show 2nd sem fees to the canadian embassy inorder to go through the Visa Process??

1sem is fine. 2nd sem fees is recommended to strengthen up case.

Does that mean that if in case I am not able to show the second semester fees, there is a possibility of my visa rejection? Actually I am waiting for the refund of my first semester fees from Sheridan College which will take at least 4-6weeks as they rejected my application after the first semester fees payment.
So, I don't think I will be able to show the second semester fees. Any idea about the visa requirements for Humber college? If it is absolute necessary to show the second semester fees I can try to manage that.

As per the amendments september 2013, students applying under SPP can pay just one semester fee and purchase GIC for 10000 CAD$ (100 Admin fee extra) and are good to go. No need to show any other funds for anything at all. Paying one semester fee doesn't weaken your case (only for SPP cases). Yes, you can opt for education loan for partial or total amount. However, usually national banks issue loan for total amount even for the second year. But if you have good terms with Manager, he may sanction you partial loan.

Gic and medical for different college

Hii Guys,

I have the firm offer letter of Sheridan college however due to some reason I could not get admission and I am waiting for my fees refund. I am waiting for my offer letter from Humber now.

Can I apply for GIC and get the Medical done on the basis of my Sheridan offer letter? I am worried if I do so whether it will make any impact on my visa processing or not?

Please reply guys, I am stuck now and don't know what I should do next?
